1. About Halal Street

Halal Street is an online directory and community platform that helps users discover halal-friendly restaurants, shops, services, mosques, and events. Our mission is to make it easier for Muslims to find and support halal options and community spaces — starting in Toronto, Canada, and expanding globally.

Halal Street is not a halal certifying authority. Information on our site is gathered from public sources, business submissions, and community contributions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or contribute content on Halal Street. By using our site, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for:

Users can submit or claim listings for halal-related businesses or events. By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You have the right or permission to post that information
  • You grant Halal Street a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote that content as part of our service

We reserve the right to edit, verify, or remove listings or content that appear inaccurate, misleading, offensive, or inappropriate.

5. Reviews and Community Content

Users may write reviews, comments, and feedback about businesses listed on Halal Street.
You agree not to post any content that:

  • Is false, defamatory, or misleading
  • Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Violates the rights or privacy of others
  • Promotes illegal or unsafe activity

We may moderate or remove content that violates these rules.

6. Accuracy and Verification

Halal Street strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However:

  • We do not guarantee the halal status or ongoing accuracy of any business listing
  • Businesses may change ownership, menus, or practices without notice
  • We strongly encourage users to verify halal claims directly with the establishment before visiting

You use the information on this site at your own discretion and responsibility.

7. Advertising and Permissions

Businesses may promote their listings or advertise through Halal Street.
All advertising content must comply with applicable laws and our content standards. We reserve the right to reject or remove advertisements that are misleading, inappropriate, or inconsistent with our mission and values.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on Halal Street — including the logo, design, layout, and original text — is owned by Halal Street or its licensors.
You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any content from our site without prior written permission, except for personal and non-commercial use.

User-generated content (listings, reviews, images, etc.) remains the property of its author, but by submitting it, you grant us permission to display and promote it on our platform.

9. Prohibited Uses
